The Page I’m in that’s Missing

The page I’m in that’s missing

I’d rattle at her door

I’d wrap my teeth around the resin

Laid out on her floor

But barking dogs and poets

Never force a mind

They simply slobber words unknowing

Words can be unkind

Still it’s written out that doors

Will turn when they are told

In books that strapped me to my cause

Their pages yet unfold

So prattling through my day by day

Slobbering at who’ll listen

This chapter’s where I lost my way

The page I’m in that’s missing
