I Love the way we Bled

I placed a stone beneath your tongue

I asked the favour of your breath

I ate the pieces one by one

I ate and tasted death

Coming home we locked our arms

Laughing like the grass

Numbing toes and frozen nose

Our challenged pallid chins

Once home the stone drew blood, we wept

We fucked to find a cure

Cracking in the heat our skin

Told tales of beast and lure

I’m coming home without you now

I’m filling up with fear

I’m beaten by the bloody tongue

I’m twisted by our tears

And wrapping up I remember

forces we let slide

I loved the stone that tore the tongue

I love the way we bled
